Cheatham County approves multiple budget amendments, surplus of Solid Waste vehicle and fills several board vacancies

Budget changes approved on the Director of Accounts’ recommendation (Resolution 10) included transfers and amendments to address jail supplies ($429.83), COVID-19 related reimbursements and purchases (multiple lines totaling several thousand dollars), county building repairs ($8,370), EMS vehicle repairs ($1,114.02), library funding and equipment ($12,500 and other smaller amounts), and EMS training ($2,600). The Budget Committee recommended the changes and commissioners approved them by roll-call vote (Resolution 10).
The commission authorized surplus of a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 assigned to Solid Waste (VIN 1D7HA18PX4J207699; 284,981 miles; noted as not running with a blown motor) and directed proceeds of sale or recycling to the Solid Waste Fund (Resolution 11).
Appointments and governance actions included confirmation of Dan Cook to the Water/Wastewater Board and reappointment of James (Jim) Dillingham for another term (Resolutions 9B and 9C). The commission also clarified membership and filled vacancies on the Cheatham County Solid Waste Regional Planning Board (Resolution 9D) and reappointed members to the Ag Committee (Resolution 13). The consent calendar approved a slate of Notary Public applicants (Resolution 14) and referred memorial recognitions for Donnie Kemp and Johnny Jenkins to the Calendar, Rules and Nominating Committee (Resolution 15). The meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m. (Resolution 16).
