Grainger County approves notaries, bonds and board reappointments

The Grainger County Board of Commissioners approved a series of appointments and notary actions during the Dec. 8 meeting.
Commissioner Andy Cameron moved and Commissioner Ed McBee seconded approval of three notary public actions: renewal for Robert Burts Jr., a new notary for Angela Kelley, and renewal for Marty McDaniel. Each appointment included a $10,000 bond with Farm Bureau.
Commissioner Justin Epperson moved and Commissioner Jennifer Holt seconded the reappointment of Jimmy Frye to the Parks and Recreation Board for a term ending Dec. 13, 2030. Commissioner Tina Davis moved and Commissioner Justin Epperson seconded reappointment of Jennifer Holt to the EMS Board for a term ending Dec. 31, 2028.
Commissioner James Acuff moved and Commissioner Jennifer Holt seconded reappointments to the Budget Committee for several members with terms to Dec. 31, 2026. All motions passed by voice vote as recorded in the minutes.
