The motion was made by Commissioner David Anderson and seconded by Commissioner Mike Breedlove; the roll-call vote was 12–0 in favor.
The resolution and attached purchase-and-sale agreement identify the property as 1037 Thompson Road (Tax Map 065, Parcel 86.00) and state the county currently uses about one acre for a convenience center. The county’s documents say the property formerly housed the highway department and school district operations.
