The Cheatham County Legislative Body on April 17 formally accepted several subdivision streets in the Sycamore Ridge development for county maintenance.
County Attorney Michael Bligh presented the resolution accepting War Eagles Way (formerly labeled Knights Blvd on the plat), Champions Lane, Warrior Place, Spangler Lane and Victory Circle as county roads. The commission voted to add those streets to the county road list after staff confirmed the roads were constructed in accordance with county road standards and the plats were recorded in the county plat books.
The minutes reference the recorded plats for Sycamore Ridge phases (Phase One recorded Nov. 13, 2018; Phase Two recorded June 11, 2019; Phase Three Nov. 13, 2019; and the townhome plat recorded Nov. 19, 2021) and list the streets to be accepted. The resolution directs the county clerk to add the roads to the official county road list and make the change effective upon adoption.
Next steps: Public-works and road-maintenance departments will incorporate these streets into maintenance schedules and budget planning as county-maintained roads.
