Legislative Committee approves county road lists, forwards private road list to full County Commission

The Franklin County Legislative Committee unanimously approved a set of road-list motions on July 6 and forwarded the private road list to the full County Commission for final consideration.
Chairman David Eldridge opened the meeting at 5:27 p.m. and called for a motion to approve the minutes from the committee’s June 6 meeting. Grant Benere moved to approve the minutes; Tyler Bauer seconded and the motion passed with all members voting in favor.
Committee members then considered county road listings. On a motion by Grant Benere, seconded by Glenn Summers, the committee voted to combine the road lists for approval. Separately, Summers moved and Benere seconded a motion to approve the Private Road list for Franklin County and send the list to the full County Commission; committee members recorded the vote as "All Ayes."
Later in the meeting the committee adopted a motion to send the approved items to the full County Commission. The committee also approved notary applications on a motion by Dale Schultz, seconded by Tyler Bauer; that vote was recorded as unanimous.
The committee adjourned at 5:41 p.m. The Legislative Committee scheduled its next meeting for September 7, 2023.
