At its June 23 session the Dickson County Commission moved several short administrative items. Commissioner Mike Petty moved, and Commissioner Dwight McIllwain seconded, to appoint Paul Orgain to the Planning Commission (9th District) for a four‑year term; the motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
The commission also reviewed and approved a list of notaries submitted for approval. Commissioner Jody Britt moved and Commissioner Stacey Batey seconded the motion to accept the listed notaries; the motion passed by unanimous aye voice vote. The minutes list the notary names presented at the meeting.
Separately, a proposed contract between the Dickson County Sheriff's Office and FLOCK Safety was deferred to the July 21, 2025 meeting, according to the minutes.
These items were recorded in the clerk's minutes and approved by voice vote; the minutes do not expand on the responsibilities or terms for the appointment or the notaries, nor do they provide detail on the reason for deferring the FLOCK Safety contract.
