Separately, Resolution 2020-106, sponsored by Commissioner Mitchell Cosby, authorizes using $43,484.31 from the Sheriff's Data Entry Fee reserve fund (account 43394/34525) to purchase servers, backup server/maintenance, software and backup storage per a Dell EMC quote attached to the resolution. The resolution directs moving the funds into line item 54110‑719 (office equipment) so the expenditure can be made. The commission approved the purchase by roll call, 20 for, 0 against.
The combined actions increase the Sheriff's capacity to transport mental‑health patients and update the department's computer infrastructure using existing reserve funds and a state grant.
