Claiborne County Commissioners on Nov. 16 approved Resolution 2020-099 to allocate $425,000 of capital outlay note proceeds to the Solid Waste Department for the purchase of two pieces of equipment.
Commissioner Kim Large moved the resolution and Commissioner Steve Mason seconded; the roll call vote was 20 for, 0 against. The resolution directs the accounting entries to add $425,000 to equipment (116-55731-714) and to record $425,000 in note proceeds (116-47900). The resolution cites the capital outlay note approved earlier in August 2020 as the source of funds.
The action allows the Sanitation Department to proceed with equipment procurement once administrative steps are complete.
