Separately, Resolution 2020-086 authorized issuance and sale of the Claiborne County Capital Outlay Note Series 2020B, not to exceed $500,000, to finance waterline extensions. The resolution records that bids were solicited and Home Federal Bank offered the low bid at 2.29 percent interest. The note is amortized over five years with level debt service and is issued under Title 9, Chapter 21, Tennessee Code Annotated; the commission approved the measure by roll‑call vote 21‑0.
Both resolutions direct county finance staff to proceed with the appropriate sale/contract processes and to file the instruments with the Comptroller's office as required by statute.
