The Claiborne County Commission approved a budget amendment on May 18 to record reimbursement from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) for overtime provided by the sheriff's department.
Res. 2020-031 authorizes an increase of $13,200 in Other State Revenue (account 46980-CAMP) and a corresponding increase of $13,200 in Overtime Pay (account 54110-187-CAMP). The resolution states the sheriff's department will be reimbursed for overtime while assisting the TBI and that the amendment is for the 2019–2020 fiscal year. Commissioner Mitchell Cosby moved to approve; Commissioner Juanita Honeycutt seconded and the motion carried by voice vote.
The resolution indicates the reimbursement amount shall not exceed $13,200 and that the budget amendment takes effect upon passage.
