During the County Administrator’s corner at the Jan. 21 meeting, staff reported outreach and next steps on the Little Wicomico River dredging project and on several community events.
The County Administrator said a JPA related to the dredging project has been submitted and is currently under review; county staff are providing requested feedback. The administrator also arranged a meeting between the NNPDC Planner and citizens who raised concerns at the November meeting, so that local questions could be addressed with regional staff and planners.
The administrator reported receiving an email from Congressman Whitman’s office and said the congressman had presented the importance of the Little Wicomico project at his committee meetings. No further detail on federal funding or outcomes was recorded in the minutes.
Separately, staff listed ongoing projects including planning and preparation for a Mobile Museum and an associated Heritage Fair. No new business was raised and the meeting adjourned at 7:02 p.m.
