The Tazewell County Planning Commission on Jan. 11 approved the annual renewal of an existing auto salvage and junkyard permit for John Rogic after county staff confirmed the $550 in application and permit fees had been paid.
Kenneth Dunford, director of county engineering, told the commission the renewal application and fees had been submitted and recommended approval. Member Jason Herndon moved to approve the permit for 2024; Member Hayden Lyons seconded and the commission voted 6 to 0 with Member Lance Wimmer absent.
The commission’s action authorizes the continuation of the existing salvage/junkyard operation under the current permit for the 2024 year.
