Vice‑Chairman Robert "Bob" Moss and Director of County Engineering Kenneth Dunford Jr. reported on an on‑site inspection and described uphill grades and drainage challenges that would require substantial work. Dunford provided approximate cost estimates: about $8,000 to grade, stone, and create a turnaround (with recurring maintenance), approximately $13,000 to pave, and roughly $30,000–$35,000 to correct drainage issues.
Member Jason Herndon moved that the commission decline taking Wandering Trail into the orphan road system; Vice‑Chairman Moss seconded. The motion passed 6‑0 (Member Kyle Cruey absent). The commission recorded that roughly five to six homes are affected by the road’s condition and that no mitigation options were identified at the time of the inspection.
