At the March 25 CPMT meeting, the coordinator reported that Melinda Smith, director of special services for Tazewell County Schools, has a student with complex needs who may benefit from Applied Behavior Analysis services. Schools had contacted Renee Adair of Adair Behavioral Services, LLC; the county did not yet have a CSA contract with that provider.
CPMT members voted to add Renee Adair to the county’s CSA provider list and to send the Year 2024–2025 service agreement to the provider for completion. Dr. Michelle Brown made the motion to send the agreement and Robin Jackson seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Minutes record that the case had not been opened to CSA at the time of the meeting and that adding the provider was a preparatory step to ensure services can be contracted if and when CSA opens the case.
The county will follow its standard contracting procedures, and Attorney Chase Collins will have final approval authority for any requested contract edits as directed earlier in the meeting.
