CPMT approves updated CSA long‑range plan review schedule; objectives to be reviewed annually

Tazewell County’s Community Policy and Management Team approved edits to the county’s Children’s Services Act (CSA) Local Policy and Procedures and agreed to a new review cadence for the CPMT long‑range plan at its May 20, 2024 meeting.
Lori Gates‑Addison of Cumberland Mountain Community Service Board reviewed the updated plan and recommended wording changes. Members agreed to edits and to a staggered review schedule: plan goals will be reviewed every two to five years, while objectives will be reviewed annually. Shanna Plaster moved to adopt the revised review schedule; Robin Jackson seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
The coordinator will incorporate the suggested edits and present the final plan at the CPMT’s next meeting on June 24, 2024 for formal adoption. The changes aim to keep the long‑range goals stable while allowing more frequent review of annual objectives and implementation details.
