CPMT approves routine financial reports, virtual FAPT policy and schedules OCS training

The Tazewell County CPMT approved several routine administrative items and adopted an updated policy for virtual FAPT meetings during its Aug. 26, 2024 meeting.
Jeff Brintle moved and members unanimously approved the July 22, 2024 meeting minutes. The CPMT also voted to approve the July FY 2024 and July FY 2025 financial reports, encumbered WRAP funds for both 2023–24 and 2024–25 fiscal years, and the Safe & Stable funds report for July 31, 2024. Each motion passed with a second and unanimous approval recorded in the minutes.
The CPMT reviewed and unanimously approved a Tazewell County Policy and Procedure for virtual Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT) meetings; the motion to adopt the virtual FAPT policy was made by Jeff Brintle and seconded by Amanda Hildebrandt. The coordinator noted the updated virtual policy will be incorporated into the Tazewell County Children’s Services Act local policies and procedures manual.
Members were reminded that the Office of Children’s Services will provide an in-person FAPT and CPMT Roles and Responsibilities training Nov. 14, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the DSS training room; trainers listed are Courtney Sexton and Mary Bell. The minutes record that five CPMT members and one back-up had confirmed attendance, one member was a maybe, all seven FAPT positions had responded, and counting the CSA coordinator there were 15 people scheduled to attend.
Why it matters: These administrative approvals keep local CSA operations and funding on schedule and add an approved virtual-meeting procedure that may affect how cases and planning meetings are conducted going forward.
The meeting included routine community announcements and adjourned at 10:59 a.m.
