After closed session, Tazewell County CPMT approves funding for foster care, CPS and related services

The Tazewell County Community Policy and Management Team on Jan. 27 went into a closed session to discuss individual cases and funding for services and later approved funding for foster care and related services.
Robin Jackson moved that the CPMT enter closed session to discuss cases involving Foster Care, CPS, Cumberland, Court Services and Tazewell County Schools and the funding to be provided for those cases; Jeff Brintle seconded and the motion carried unanimously. After returning to open session, the CPMT adopted a certification resolution stating that the closed meeting complied with the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. The certification vote was recorded as AYES 9, NAYS 0, ABSENT 0; the Parent Representative seat was noted as vacant.
Following certification, Roberta Boyd moved to approve funding for Foster Care, CPS, Cumberland, Court Services and Tazewell County Schools to provide services for the discussed cases; Jeff Brintle seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
County Attorney Chase Collins asked that future agendas revise the closed-session language to read 'Enter Closed Session Pursuant to §2.2-3711.(A)(37) & §2.2-5210'; the coordinator agreed to update future agendas. The CPMT adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
