County Administrator Tracy M. Gee said the Town of Victoria is speaking with a potential business prospect and recommended transferring the county’s share to the IDA because the authority can complete land transactions more expeditiously if a buyer intends to purchase the property. Administrator Gee said the Victoria Town Council had already approved transferring its ownership to the Victoria IDA.
Supervisor Edward Pennington made the motion to approve the transfer; Supervisor Mike Hankins seconded it and the motion passed unanimously. The board adopted a resolution authorizing transfer of the two parcels to the IDA.
