Mecosta County approves MET fund contracts, opioid settlement resolution and several purchases

Opioid settlement: The board adopted Resolution 2025‑12 authorizing participation agreements in partial settlement of the National Prescription Opiate Litigation and related state intrastate allocation agreements; the resolution was adopted and placed on file on a 7–0 roll call.
Purchases and payments: The board approved the sheriff’s request to purchase a Motorola mobile radio for $5,922.75 (motion carried 7–0) and approved payment of pre‑approved vouchers totaling $2,179,396.58 plus an additional $165,155.88 in bills requiring full board approval. Commissioners also reappointed Sue Haut to the DHHS Board for a three‑year term (7–0 vote).
Building and grounds: The board authorized Mr. Cassidy to proceed with the bid process for exterior and interior work on the Main Entrance Project and approved the low bid from Fullmer for HVAC work in the sheriff sergeants’ space for $5,895 plus up to $1,000 for electrical work; both actions were approved on roll call votes of 7–0.
