At its May 28 meeting the Gogebic County Board of Commissioners approved a set of routine funding and procurement items. The board approved payment of $10,002.50 in PA2 monies to Northcare Network (motion by Mr. Peterson, supported by Mr. Yon; roll call 6-0). It authorized appropriate signatures on a Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD) grant agreement (motion by Mr. Lorenson, supported by Mr. Cayer; unanimous voice vote).
The board voted to release Payments in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) funds to local townships and to make the necessary budget amendment (motion by Mr. Lorenson, supported by Mr. Wood; roll call 6-0). The board also awarded the bid for concrete pads at the fairgrounds to Ruotsala Construction for a total cost of $61,424.45 (motion by Mr. Yon, supported by Mr. Lorenson; roll call 6-0). The board approved claims and pre-paid bills as presented (motion by Mr. Lorenson, supported by Mr. Cayer; roll call 6-0).
