Office Manager Bobbie Livermore told the board Feb. 13 that two of the eight new plow trucks approved in the 2023 capital outlay process have been delivered to the dealer and are ready for upfitting.
Livermore said Fleet Manager Donajkowski and Chief Mechanic Marsh inspected the vehicles to ensure they meet specifications before they are sent to Truck and Trailer for upfitting. The truck purchases were previously approved in the capital outlay meeting on Nov. 9, 2023, and again at a special meeting/public hearing on Dec. 31, 2024 as part of the 2025 capital outlay plan.
She told the board that financing bids for the purchase are due next week and that a financing recommendation should be prepared for the commission's next meeting. Foremen reported routine winter maintenance, including winging back banks during a brief warm spell. County Commissioner Jim Traynor noted separately that generators at the county jail remain out of service and that the jail is borrowing a generator for now.
The report outlines next steps for procurement and financing; no formal votes on the truck purchases or financing terms were recorded at this meeting.
