The board discussed the Detour Maritime Museum lease at the Detour dock and agreed to place a lease-renewal item on next month's agenda.
Staff reported the existing lease runs from October 2000 to October 2025 and currently allows the museum volunteers to provide custodial work for bathrooms while the museum purchases insurance for building contents and EUPTA insures the building. Staff said the arrangement has been "seamless" and proposed a written renewal to continue the relationship.
Trustee Joe Henne asked staff to look into costs the agency bears for porta-potty services and restroom cleanliness and raised the possibility of installing cameras as a deterrent to vandalism. No lease renewal vote was held; the board will consider a written renewal at the next meeting.
