At its July 1 meeting the Eastern Upper Peninsula Transportation Authority unanimously approved the May 6 regular and closed-session minutes and authorized May AIP and EFT transfers as presented.
In new business the board voted unanimously to delete a local Wage and Hour policy and "follow the laws as required," per the minutes. The minutes also record a review of the Equal Employment and Affirmative Action Policy and include a separate line to table that policy; the transcript entry is ambiguous about the precise sequence of motions and results for the Equal Employment policy beyond that the item was addressed and the minutes list the policy as tabled.
The board also voted unanimously to begin the hiring process for a full-time administrative assistant position and to create a temporary, part-time administrative position for July–September to provide phone coverage. All recorded motions in the minutes carried by unanimous vote.
The meeting adjourned at 11:35 a.m.
