The Charlevoix County Board approved routine business on Oct. 8, including the consent agenda, monthly expenditures and banking depositories.
The board approved the consent agenda, which included minutes and several routine county and intercounty resolutions, by a 5-0 vote. Resolution #25-133 recorded that the Audit Committee reviewed September invoices on Sept. 10 and Sept. 24 and recommended approval of September expenditures totaling $916,730.15; the board accepted that recommendation. The board also adopted Resolution #25-138 authorizing a list of financial institutions to serve as county depositories in 2026 and to use CDARs so deposits remain fully FDIC insured.
During the same meeting the board approved a Parks Department request to contract with Mallard Lake Tree Service for tree removal at Whiting Park for $4,400; the motion carried 5-0.
These items were taken as part of consent and routine business; no additional budget figures beyond the monthly total and the single tree-removal contract were recorded in the minutes.
