Board approves three Beaver Island meal agreements for seniors

The Charlevoix County Board on Oct. 8 approved three Commission on Aging agreements to provide special and voucher (dining-out) meals to eligible Beaver Island participants.
The board approved Resolution #25-134 with E.J. Hodgson Enterprises Inc. dba Shamrock Bar & Restaurant for the term Oct. 1, 2025–Sept. 30, 2026; Resolution #25-135 with Beaver Island Community School for the term Oct. 1, 2025–June 30, 2026; and Resolution #25-136 with Wild Strawberry Cafe for the term Oct. 1, 2025–Sept. 30, 2026. The agreements specify that client participants must be 60 years of age or older and/or enrolled in the Commission on Aging Home Delivered Meals program. The board authorized the chairman to sign the agreements; each motion carried on roll call votes recorded as 5-0.
