Ontonagon County board adopts depository resolution and approves budget amendment and payments

The board also adopted Budget Amendment BA 2024-31 to increase spending authorization for specified activities funded by ARPA (COVID/CARES), including Treasurer equipment and courthouse equipment. The amendment was presented in writing by Stacy C. Preiss, county clerk and chief administrative officer, and recorded in the minutes with the stated explanation that the increase covered ARPA funds spent through Dec. 31, 2024.
Commissioners approved routine payments and prepaid bills as reported by the treasurer. Reported payment totals in the minutes include a payments batch of $107,666.89, prepaid bills of $529,524.67 for 12/12/2024–01/15/2025 and payroll totals of $230,392.36 for the periods ending Dec. 20, 2024 and Jan. 3, 2025.
On one item of compensation policy, the board voted 3-0 with one abstention to leave Road Commission Board pay unchanged. The minutes document appointments, grant approvals and other procedural motions recorded that day.
The depositories resolution and budget amendment are recorded in the minutes; the treasurer is authorized to manage deposits and related agreements under the adopted resolution.
