Ontonagon County adopts 2025–2026 General Appropriations Act after brief public hearing

The board opened the public hearing at 3:45 p.m. by motion of Commissioner Bourdeau, supported by Commissioner Nousiainen. No members of the public offered comments; the board closed the hearing at 3:46 p.m. by motion of Commissioner Bourdeau, supported by Commissioner Store. Commissioners voting in favor included Commissioner Bourdeau, Commissioner Nousiainen, Commissioner Store and Chair Carl Nykanen.
The adoption completes the formal step required for the county’s fiscal year operating budgets and special revenue accounts. The hearing record shows no public comment and a prompt vote to adopt the resolution.
