At its Oct. 20 meeting, the Dubois County Board of Commissioners approved several administrative matters intended to streamline county operations.
Treasurer Craig Greulich requested a third county travel card (matching the existing travel-card credit limit) to ease departmental travel logistics; the board approved the Auditor and Treasurer obtaining the additional card. Auditor Sandra L. Morton presented two Health Department laptops for surplus declaration and the board declared the items surplus by unanimous motion.
Greulich and Auditor Morton also presented a financial software solution from LOW Associates to replace current disparate systems (Harris Financial and United Systems and Software). The board agreed to proceed pending County Council funding approval; if approved, a contract will be presented at a future meeting.
Commissioner Chad A. Blessinger raised whether Deaconess At Work Clinic benefits might be extended to judges and prosecutors (state employees) and the board agreed to explore whether Deaconess would permit such coverage. Commissioners also discussed 2026 appointments, which will be formally made in December 2025.
