Dubois County opens bids to remount ambulance #431; EMS to return with recommendation

At 9:00 a.m. on Oct. 6 the commissioners opened bids for remounting Ambulance #431 in 2027. The bids read aloud were: American Response Vehicles ($276,600), MacQueen Emergency ($298,698), and Emergency Vehicles Plus ($334,897).
EMS Coordinator Ryan Young told the board the lead time for a remount is about 18 months (three years for a new vehicle). He discussed reasons for remounting the vehicle and said he took the bids under advisement and will return to the next meeting with recommendations.
