Dubois County council approves a slate of 2026 budget appropriations and transfers

Voegerl), $13,547 in the Firearms Training Fund for other services (motion Ryan Craig; second Alex P. Hohl), and $11,574 in the Community Transition Program Fund for wireless access and nine Surface tablets (motion Ryan Craig; second Doug Uebelhor). The minutes record each of these motions as carried unanimously.
The council also approved a $1,200 appropriation in the Courthouse Monument Maintenance Fund to install lighting at the POW-MIA monument (motion Doug Uebelhor; second Ryan Craig) and authorized transfers in the General Fund: $200 for Weights & Measures (Conferences to Supplies), $6,000 and $4,000 transfers within Community Corrections maintenance for supplies and part-time maintenance, respectively. All transfers carried unanimously.
Significant among the items was a $500,000 LIT-ED fund appropriation for health insurance personal services (motion Ryan Craig; second Sonya Haas), which the minutes record as carried unanimously.
