Dubois County reports Regional Sewer District finances; SRF award of $1 million available through spring 2026

Design work by Clark Dietz is ongoing, Kluesner said, and the county has been approved for $1 million from the SRF, which is available until Spring 2026. Councilperson Deena J. Lewis discussed management of the district, coordination with the City of Jasper on capacity and usage, and efforts to keep monthly household fees affordable for residents.
President Kluesner asked the council to advertise an additional appropriation of $15,000 from the LIT-ED fund to continue the Baker Tilly contract; the council gave consensus to proceed with advertising that appropriation. The minutes do not record a formal roll-call tally on the advertising decision.
The update left the project at the design and funding coordination stage: Clark Dietz continues design work, and the SRF award is time-limited (available until Spring 2026), creating a near-term window for next funding and permitting steps.
