Local business urges licensing for pet groomers; resident complains about roadside mowing and culvert work

Alicen Ingle, owner-operator of Pet-Agree Professional Pet Services, told the commissioners she has observed unlicensed individuals offering pet grooming services and urged the Health Department to inspect safety protocols and license grooming businesses, require appropriate education and insurance, and enforce sanitation and safety standards. Commissioners thanked her and took the recommendation under advisement.
Boone Township resident Bart Meyer said county mowing along his property was insufficient and described a culvert replacement on County Road 675 N that he said disturbed his property outside the right-of-way, removed an old drop box and lid, and left rip rap and a hole on his property. Commissioner Chad Blessinger said he would visit the site with county staff, review the situation over the next two weeks and report back at a future meeting.
No formal actions were taken at the meeting on either matter; both were recorded during the public comment portion of the agenda.
