- Ordinance 2025-09 approved: The board amended Ordinance 2025-07 to add the Emergency Management Director and Deputy Director to the roster of county employees authorized to enter contracts on behalf of the county following Board approval, in accordance with I.C. § 36-2-2.9-15. - Trash-sticker price increase: The board approved raising the price of a trash sticker from $1.50 to $2.00 per 45-gallon bag, effective Jan. 1, 2026; larger bags require two stickers. (Moved by Highway Superintendent Donnie Lueken.)
- Electronic mapping data sharing: Auditor Sandra L. Morton presented a CoreLogic Electronic Map Data Application Agreement with WTH Technology, Inc.; the board approved sending a $250 check and authorizing the data agreement.
- CLMOR concurrence form signed: The board authorized a Dubois County official to sign an Overview & Concurrence Form related to the City of Jasper 15th Street Extension’s Conditional Letter of Map Revision to meet Indiana DNR requirements.
- Other approvals and motions: The board accepted two change orders with net decreases (25-06: $1,093.05; 25-07: $1,887.22), approved declaring specified items surplus for departmental disposal, authorized the EMS director to request bids to remount ambulance #0431, and approved use of courthouse restrooms for Kid’s Day on Sept. 27, 2025.
Commissioners recorded these votes as carried unanimously; three commissioners were present. Several items—such as a $45,000 bid from Little Si’s Construction for remediation of the Slotten property—were opened and held under advisement rather than acted on. The board scheduled its next regular meeting for Sept. 2, 2025.
