At the May 19 meeting the Dubois County Commissioners opened bids for Owner Occupied Rehabilitation (H.E.L.P.) roofing projects and then approved recommended awards to T&T Roofing for several homeowner addresses and bid amounts. The board also accepted the electrical and related trade bids recommended by Jenny Matheis of Indiana 15 Regional Planning.
Details: The board read multiple roofing bids aloud at 9:00 a.m. and later approved awards for the Helsley, Nordhoff, Poehlein, Seidl, Sermersheim and Weisheit homes to T&T Roofing for the amounts recorded in the bid tabulation. The bids for the Schwenk and Steckler homes exceeded the per‑home threshold; Matheis said she will confer with State offices for guidance on those over‑threshold awards.
On electrical and other trade bids, Matheis recommended acceptance of bids received May 5 (including multiple Hulsman and Huntingburg Mechanical entries listed in the record). The board voted to accept the bids as presented.
The motions to approve the roofing awards and to accept the trade bids were both made, seconded and carried unanimously. The record does not list contract start dates or individual homeowner incomes; awards were taken from the bid tabulation presented at the meeting.
