Dubois County Commissioners on May 5 approved low bidders for six road‑paving projects advertised under the county’s CCMG 2024‑01 program, awarding contracts that together total approximately $688,308.
Highway Supervisor Donnie Lueken presented recommended low bids: Calcar Paving for 25‑02 Woodland Hills ($219,653.95) and the county portion of 25‑05 400 West ($59,542.70); E&B Paving for 25‑03 75 North ($70,745.00) and 25‑04 Countrywood Estates ($52,990.00); and C & R Construction for 25‑06 540 East & 1150 South ($123,306.60) and 25‑07 Dubois Road NE / Borden Hill Road / 900 East ($172,000.00). The board moved to approve the low bidders as presented; the motion carried unanimously.
Commissioners noted the city portion of project 25‑05 will be forwarded to the City of Huntingburg for its approval. Bids for other paving segments had been opened earlier and taken under advisement for later action.
The awards follow the county’s advertised procurement process and reflect low‑bid selections for publicly advertised road projects. The county indicated funding and contract administration will follow standard procedures before work begins.
