Copper Shores requests quarterly reporting for Meals on Wheels agreement; county to review revised draft

At the Nov. 3 work session, Chairman Tom Tikkanen introduced the Copper Shores Meals on Wheels agreement and said the county is obligated to collect the millage that supports the program. Kevin Store, joining by Microsoft Teams, asked that the required monthly report be changed to a quarterly report, requested time to review the agreement and said about 354 people currently receive meals through the program. He said he would submit a revised draft of the agreement to county staff by Thursday at noon.
Faith Morrison urged the board to be prepared and to understand the county’s fiduciary responsibilities under the agreement. The board said it will take action on the agreement at the next regular meeting.
