The Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved two related America250PA items at its Nov. 25 meeting: the designation of a county advisor for America250PA events and permission for the Fulton County Association of Township Officials to plant a commemorative tree on the courthouse lawn.
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve and execute a letter to Kelly Leighton, Director of Strategic Partnerships at America250PA, authorizing Marty Mettille to act as Fulton County’s advisor for local America250PA events. The board also approved a request from the Fulton County Association of Township Officials to supply and plant a tree of their choice on the courthouse lawn to commemorate the America250PA celebration. Both motions were recorded as unanimous.
The minutes do not detail event schedules or tree species; county staff and the Association of Township Officials will coordinate specifics and comply with county grounds and maintenance procedures.
