Fulton County commissioners approve Food Basket sub-agreement, routine payments and administrative items

At its Feb. 10 meeting, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved several administrative items, including a Sub-Agreement with the Fulton County Food Basket, Inc., authorizing the county to administer state funds under the State Food Purchase Program (SFPP).
Food Basket Director Sue Cubbage told commissioners that state funds now come directly to the county rather than to the Food Basket, requiring a Sub-Agreement that names the county as the program administrator. Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve and execute the Sub-Agreement; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved accounts payable dated Feb. 3, 2026, totaling $91,872.06, with the record showing Fund 100 (General Fund) payments of $75,212.91 and smaller amounts charged to restricted funds and capital projects. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved approval of the accounts payable.
Other routine approvals included a travel request for Services for Children Director Christine McQuade to attend the Chief Justice Max Baer's Children's Roundtable Summit in Hershey, Pa., April 22–24, 2026; a Citgo tire quote for $640 to replace four tires on a Services for Children vehicle so it can pass inspection; and a Certification Statement for the fourth quarter of 2025 submitted by Services for Children Fiscal Technician Stephanie Mellott. Each item was moved and approved by the board. Commissioners also received a demonstration of the Chief 360 Mobile system for Fire & EMS from McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Chief Pete Lynch and EMA/911 Director Brian Barton; the demonstration was informational, and no procurement motion is recorded in the minutes.
Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to adjourn the meeting at 11:20 a.m.; the motion carried.
