The Grant County Commissioners voted on Sept. 4 to set a submission deadline for members of the public who wish to add items to the agenda.
Commissioner Marty Meyer moved to require that items from the public be submitted by 4:00 p.m. Mountain Time on the Friday prior to a regularly scheduled Commissioner meeting; Commissioner Al Roy Hochhalter seconded the motion, and the board voted unanimously.
The minutes do not record exceptions or provisions for late submissions. The change was presented by Commissioner Meyer as a way to help de-escalate situations that may arise from last-minute agenda additions; no public comment on the rule change is recorded in the minutes.
The board adjourned at 12:27 p.m.
