Morton County commissioners approved routine agenda items and a list of county expenditures totaling $3,409,939.87 at a regular meeting on June 10, 2025, at the Morton County Courthouse in Mandan.
Chairman Nathan Boehm called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. County Auditor Dawn R. Rhone recorded Commissioners Zachmeier, Buckley and Morrell as present; Commissioner Tokach was listed as absent. Also present were States Attorney Koppy and Sheriff Kirchmeier.
The commission unanimously approved the meeting agenda after a motion from Commissioner Buckley and a second from Commissioner Morrell. Buckley then moved — with Morrell seconding — to approve the minutes of the May 27 regular meeting; the motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Morrell moved and Chairman Boehm seconded approval of bills and payroll covering county funds expended from May 28 through June 10, 2025, in the amount of $3,409,939.87. The minutes record a roll-call vote with all voting “aye,” and the motion carried. The minutes state that a detailed list of checks is available for public inspection at the Morton County Auditor’s Office during regular business hours.
The minutes record that Commissioner Morrell moved to adjourn and that Commissioner Tokach seconded; the meeting was adjourned at 5:35 p.m. (The minutes also list Commissioner Tokach earlier as absent; that discrepancy is reflected in the meeting record.)
