John Sauber of Sauber Engineering presented a contractor agreement between Gravel Products, Inc. and Grant County for 2024 gravel crushing and stockpiling. The contract calls for substantial completion on or before Oct. 1, 2024. The minutes record the presentation but do not show a board motion or award recorded at the March 6 meeting.
Later in the session, Steve Meier of RDO Equipment Inc. met with the board to discuss a five-year lease agreement for two motograders. Meier said the lease would carry a 6.65% interest rate, and that the down payment would be $100,000 plus the trade-in value of two 2013 John Deere 772G graders. The minutes record the discussion of terms but do not record a formal motion to approve the lease arrangement during this meeting.
Both items were presented for board consideration; the meeting minutes show no final action recorded on either the contractor agreement or the equipment lease on March 6, 2024.
