Dunn County approves $37,000 match for Killdeer drone show over one dissent

Tyrel Brown, representing the City of Killdeer, asked the board to split the $74,000 cost with the county and outlined ancillary plans including food trucks and a band in the park. The Dunn County JDA was expected to assist with marketing.
Commissioner Heiser moved and Commissioner Pelton seconded a motion to provide a $37,000 county match. On roll call Commissioners Heiser, Olson, Pelton and Dolezal voted aye; Commissioner Kleemann voted no. The motion carried 4–1.
No additional funding sources or a formal contract for the event were detailed during the meeting.
