The Cavalier County Board of Commissioners reviewed and approved several administrative items on Oct. 1, including the audit of claims, delinquent tax-sale pricing instructions and a raffle permit.
Greg Goodman moved to approve a raffle permit for Friends of Our Lady’s Preservation Society; Austin Lafrenz seconded and the motion carried. The commissioners examined the list of parcels for the delinquent tax sale; Austin Lafrenz moved to set each parcel’s selling price at the amount of taxes currently owed plus the estimated 2024 tax, Greg Goodman seconded and the motion carried.
The board reviewed and approved the audit of claims, covering numerous vendors and amounts listed in the minutes. Notable items in the claims list include KLJ Engineering LLC for $39,408.30 and two Close Construction Company invoices for $111,888.00 and $63,945.00. Austin Lafrenz moved to review and approve the audit of claims; Nick Moser seconded and the motion carried. At 11:00 a.m. the board adjourned on a motion by Stanley Dick, seconded by Nick Moser.
