Cavalier County commissioners vote to apply for federal DOT grant to pave County 55, commit $1 million match

The commission approved a small transfer of $478.50 from the Road & Bridge Fund to the Road & Bridge Equipment Replacement Fund. The audit of claims later in the meeting listed several large road-related payments, including invoices to Mikkelsen Bros. and Close Construction.
The grant application requires state and federal approvals and additional state contributions, which Daley said NDDOT had signaled could be available.
