If the application is funded, the One Georgia grant would supply $1,667,000 and the county's local match would be $558,994. Commissioner Donnie Hester moved to approve submittal and to allow the chairman to sign the match commitment letter; the board approved the motion 6‑0.
The authorization commits the county to a potential local match should the grant be awarded; the board did not vote on construction contracts or specific funding sources for the match at the meeting. Staff will proceed with grant submittal and return to the board if award or further approvals are required.
