TIFT COUNTY — The Tift County Board of Commissioners was told on Jan. 6 that the county received a OneGeorgia Hurricane Disaster Recovery award of $1,920,000 to help address flooding and make street and water-system improvements in the Phillipsburg neighborhood.
County Manager Jim Carter said the estimated total project cost is $2,235,994 and that the county’s required match of $315,994 will come from SPLOST VI. "The County was awarded $1,920,000 to assist with flooding and street and water system improvements for the Phillipsburg neighborhood," Carter said during the work session. The board indicated it would place the item on the Jan. 12 consent agenda.
