The county will fund the purchase entirely from a Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Project (GOSP) grant; the board approved both the Contract for Sale of Real Estate and a resolution authorizing county staff to proceed with the project and related agreement. Commissioner Linda Liles moved to approve the contract; Commissioner David McElwee seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The approval initiates the formal project steps required by the GOSP grant process; county staff will complete procurement and closing activity under the terms of the grant and the approved agreement.
