The Long County commission approved the Final Plat for Doctors Creek Phase 3B on Dec. 2 by a 4-1 vote, with Commissioner Jeremy Hall opposed.
County Manager Chuck Scragg told the commission the mayor of Walthourville and the county attorney had discussed the plat earlier in the day; the mayor requested more time to review the plat and consult with developer and local officials because proposed property-line adjustments could affect three of the eight proposed lots. Commissioners voted unanimously to table the separate plat adjustment item to allow additional review.
The final plat approval moves the Doctors Creek subdivision forward under county process; commissioners did not modify the plat at this meeting.
