Commissioner David Kinsey moved to approve the zoning amendment; Commissioner Richard Baggett seconded the motion. The minutes record votes Yes: Bussey, Kinsey, Baggett and Green.
On appointments, Chairman Carvel Lewis said he requested to step down from the SWGA Regional Development Authority and moved to appoint Commissioner Jerry Green as the county’s second representative; Kinsey made the motion to appoint Green, which passed with Green abstaining from the vote as recorded.
The board also adopted several resolutions read aloud by Chairman Lewis: R1-2025 (Safety Coordinator), R2-2025 (Volunteers & Elected Officials), R4-2025 (First Responder PTSD) and R5-2025 (adopt amendment to ACCG 457(b)). The minutes record motions and seconding for each resolution and show recorded Yes votes for the listed commissioners where noted.
