Weeks reported EMS statistics for November: 25 total calls, 16 transports, 3 refusals, 6 cancellations and an average response time of nine minutes. He said the county provided mutual aid nine times and did not request mutual aid in the period: "Total calls 25, 16 transports, 3 refusals, and 6 cancellations. Average response time was 9 minutes. We provided mutual aid 9 times and we did not receive/request any mutual aid," Weeks stated in the minutes.
On capital projects, Weeks said the Rural & Valley Regional Commission (RVRC) has reissued a request for proposals to find an architect for the CDBG-funded community center expansion after a previous solicitation received no bids. Weeks added that the project will expand the community center and add a covered commodities area.
Weeks also reported that all paperwork for a $150,000 energy‑efficiency grant submitted to the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) has been completed; he said RVRC and GEFA would meet that week to set the project budget and that the county hopes to begin the project by July 2025 if the budget is approved.
The minutes record these status updates but do not attach timeline commitments or contract awards; the CDBG architect procurement and GEFA budget approval remain pending.
